IN THIS LESSON

Here, Paul says it loud and clear: “Are you, a mere human being, going to answer God back? Surely the clay won’t say to the potter, ‘Why did you make me like this?’” (v. 20). Does this mean humans have no agency? Is there no point in trying or resisting because our paths are already set and the doors are closed? If that’s the case, why does God punish evil people like Pharaoh? Is God truly just? How can we resolve this dilemma?
