Romans Chapter 8
IN THIS LESSON
This passage marks the climax of Romans up to this point (Romans 1-8). Why? Just as we reach the top of a mountain after struggling through thorns and thistles, laboring all day, and finally witnessing a spectacular view, we now see the master plan of God’s salvation—the salvation of the entire creation from its slavery to decay. How is this different from our former understanding of salvation? The Christian life is often described as “already, but not yet,” as indicated in verses 22-23. Is that true in your life as well?
