Revelation Chapter 16
IN THIS LESSON
Finally, all hell breaks loose—seven bowls are poured out. But the plagues we read about here aren’t entirely new. Where else have we seen water turn to blood—not wine? Who are the people suffering from these plagues, and why does the angel of the waters say, “They deserve it” (v. 6)? Even when the fourth bowl brings intense heat, people still refuse to repent. Why? Is this just an ancient story describing events from 2,000 years ago in Asia Minor—or is it speaking to us today?
